All guides
- 1
Find your access details
In your customer space, open Servers → your server → Access. You'll find the IP address, the user (root) and the password, also sent by e-mail when the server was delivered.
- 2
Open a terminal
On macOS: Terminal app. On Linux: your terminal. On Windows 10 and 11: PowerShell (right-click the Start menu).
- 3
Run the SSH command
Replace the address with your server's IP address, then press Enter.
ssh root@203.0.113.10 - 4
Accept the server's fingerprint
The first time, SSH asks if you trust the server: type yes. It won't ask again.
- 5
Type the password
Paste the password (nothing appears on screen while you type, that's normal), then Enter. You're connected as root.
